Uttar Pradesh Caste-Based Discrimination Prohibition Act, 2025 (Proposed): The Constitution of India, under Articles 14, 15, and 17, guarantees equality, non-discrimination, and the abolition of untouchability. To eliminate caste-based division, discrimination, and injustice in Uttar Pradesh, this Act is proposed. Under this Act, mention of caste in government documents, police reports, FIRs, charge sheets, applications, or any official records is prohibited, except where required under the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act or other applicable laws. Display of caste symbols, signs, slogans, posters, or messages is prohibited in public places, vehicles, schools, hospitals, religious sites, rallies, and on digital platforms. Organizing rallies, processions, meetings, election campaigns, or public programs based on caste is strictly forbidden.
